Punctuality Problem

Most of us especially those who are religious people, were busy preparing their self going to the church. They are particular with their time to go on time in the church. They wake-up early to prepare to attend the mass, worship God, and sharing Bible message.

Yes, its Sunday, our worship time scheduled at 9:00am-10:00am for Bible study, 5 minutes break then at 10:05 am to 12:00 noon for worshiping, We usually attend every Sunday, unless me and my daughter were in other place, or sick, or busy. If we can’t attend the worship and bible study, we find some time in the evening for bible sharing at home.

Yet, I got some problem about myself every Sunday, I don’t know, but sometimes, I feel tired to awake early in the morning, sometimes, I spend my spare hours to finish my cloth washing, household chores, of which I cant notice my time. My daughter as she is still in the bed at 9:00 in the morning. Though I know that I need her to wake-up early to get started to go in the church, I can’t still make it. I can only count Sundays that we were not late. I’m now imagining, if I die, God will open the door late for me…huhuhu….but of course, I do all my best to be punctual. I won’t promise, but I will do my best now to be early in OUR SUNDAY WORSHIP, a shame with myself only one day for worshipping gets me hard to be punctual.

Saturday Bonding

Saturday, I woke up early though i am suffering a little headache. I have no choice as well, as I need to start to wash our clothes, clean the home while my daughter still in her deep asleep.

After I finished the household chores, I started to drop in my daughter's entrecard, as I am worrying that she has no time for dropping because of her hectic schedule and pre-occupied the same in her studies and some school activities. I wasn’t finish dropping because of electricity black out.

Well, my daughter convince me to watch a movie entitled Twilight. Actually, I did not answered here, because I have no plan to go out., I am lazy tired and I want to sleep...but when I look her face..my heart felt like stubbing....hehehhe...so I get myself ready and advice her to go hurray till my mind will not change.

Indeed, I appreciate the movie (TWILIGHT) a love story of a human and a vampire...well, nice love story. So go on, if you want to spend time with your love one as one of a bonding process ...watching movie is one ideal for both of you.

The Post - Election Evaluation and Strategic Planning Seminar and Workshop

The Commission on Elections of General Santos City, conducted a two days seminar and workshop regarding the Post-Election Evaluation and Strategic Planning, this seminar headed by the City Election Officer/Acting PES-South Cotabato, Atty. Jose M. Villanueva, and Facilitated by Mr. Rodolfo De Leon, Jr.

Our participants involved with different entities, the eight (8) districts of Department of Education, DILG, PNP, Task Force Gensan, OLPGV, Treasurers Office and COMELEC General Santos City, Sarangani Province and South Cotabato.

Atty. Michael C. Abas, on his short-talk, he introduce the new adopted correct Electronic System used during the full automation of the ARMM elections last August 11, 2008, such as: The Optical Mark Reader (OMR) Technology and Direct Recording Electronic (DRE) Technology.

The Automated Counting Machine (ACM) is a machine which uses the Optical Mark-Sense Reader (OMR) system to count the votes in the ballots. It is composed of 2 Laptops, 2 Digital Scanners, 2 card readers, 1 hub and 1 printer. In automated elections using ACMs, the voter is given a paper ballot containing the candidate’s names with corresponding ovals to shade. The votes in the shaded ballots will then be scanned and counted using the ACM.

This system makes use of ballots, considering the fact that it is already familiar to most members of the electorate, this system was recommended as the most suitable for the Philippine setting. With the use of centralized counting centers, a ballot counter could be assigned to count the ballots from several precincts, or even from a whole municipality, depending on the number of registered voters.

The Direct Recording Electronic (DRE) system, the voter is presented with a screen showing all the names of the candidates. To cast his vote, the voter has to touch the name of the candidate of his choice on the screen, or on a separate electronic ballot to be attached to the voting machine, and his vote automatically gets counted. Once the voter has confirmed his vote, the machine will print out a copy of his vote, which the voter will deposit in the ballot box.

In an automated system, counting will no longer be done by the Board of Election Inspectors (BEI). In an OMR system, the paper ballots will be brought to a central counting center where they will be fed into a counting machine and print out election returns. In a DRE system, the voting machines will count the votes stored in its internal memory and print out election returns.

This is the easiest way of proclamation of the winning candidates, only one day or three days to take and the results of the votes immediately appeared.

First Day of the Seminar.

I woke up early in the morning, to prepare myself to go to the office, I need to run and hurray to go to my work place, I need to deliver the letter of invitation to Our Lady of Peace for Good Voyage, in this city, I am glad because it was a walking distance and it takes ten 10 minutes when I delivered it.

I successfully delivered the said invitation, …hehehehe…its too late invitation. A reason why I need to get hurry, the same I and Ellaine need to prepare some of the documents and supplies to bring for the seminar.

When we were already in the place, the Department of Education participants (8 districts) waiting for us, (hmmmm.... early bird), we instructed them to write their name in the attendance sheets and distributed photocopies of the topic and other supplies.

And when our invited speaker arrived, I and Ellaine keep murmuring, as we were waiting for the computer and projector operator. I decided to call our Boss and asked him about the operator. GRRRRRR….. we started the said seminar without the computer operator…our CD for national anthem and invocation was useless, theres no used at all....another GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.... Wow…what a mess….I felt so bad, because I and Ellaine give our full effort to make the seminar success .... ok...NO COMMENTTTTTTTTTTTT.........because he is our second boss...he is useful anyway in the eyes of blind people.

The Post-Election Evaluation and Strategic Planning Seminar/Workhop Preparation

Before the Post Election Evaluation and Strategic Planning Seminar initiate, I and Ellaine assist to facilitate the said affair. Likewise, we’ve been occupied for the entire day in checking the important stuff. We coordinated in the different agencies and follow-up the budget intended for the said seminar and workshop. My co-worker Ellaine suggested to postponed the date from November 13-14, 2008 to November 26-27, 2008 due to lack of time, as we need to send a letter of invitation to different agencies, groups and institutions. We have only one (1) week preparation as we need to wait for the EO to sign the invitations.

Three days before the seminar, I received call from the participants for the confirmation of their presence. I though all are previously organized but when my Boss remind me if I send an invitation for the religious groups, ohhhhhh…I’m sorry … I forgot to write the invitation intended for them, so I tried to contact the Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage's telephone to inform them that they are one of the participants in the said seminar, but no one answered. I need to find ways to contact even one religious groups, and I send a message from my friend who is active in the religious activities to help me to communicate to any representative of this group..thanks to my friend, he helps me so much and make me calm, he advice me to deliver the said letter tomorrow early in the morning.
