When we choose to use our free will to serve selfish or unchristian wants, likes, needs.. that deeply bruises God's loving heart. The choice is left to us to make tho... whether to choose good or bad. That is the exercise of the free will.

God respects man's free will. It's God's gift to man. And why whenever He calls us to Him, it is always in the manner of an invitation.. and not dictation as dictators do. He waits patiently for us to come to Him. But when He sees that we are taking ourselves blindly down to self-destruction, He would crack His holy whip and knock us back to our senses. God saves and does not destroy. Now if we are paying good attention to His discipline, acknowledge and be sorry for our misdeeds, He would easily forgive. God hates the sin but not the sinner. And out of His great love and mercy for us His children, He would give us all the opportunity to return to Him...... just like the prodigal son returned to his waiting loving father.

Let's look at God as a BIG GOD able to love us inspite of our warts imperfections and faults -- able to forgive us seventy times seven -- and Who understands us so well.. even more than we could understand ourselves.

All the good that there is in our lives is not because we deserved them or have loved Him... but because HE LOVED US FIRST!

May God bless you and your family. And may God's grace, peace, and light dwell in your home.Ellenhttp://ellen-inretrospect.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.com
